Dr. Gentile graduated with honors from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA, and completed a three-year residency at HealthOne Presbyterian/St.Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, CO. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Oregon Podiatric Medical Association, and an attending surgeon/teacher for the Legacy/Kaiser Portland Hospital’s Podiatric Surgical Residency Program.
Education is the passion that drives Dr. Gentile. He is honored to be a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the Highland Foot and Ankle Institute, and is board certified in foot, rear foot, and ankle reconstructive surgery. He is dedicated to continuing his medical training and advancing the knowledge of his peers through frequent national lectures and teaching surgical workshops. He is also a contributor to the ACFAS Textbook on Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy.
Always trying to find a way to do things better, Dr. Gentile is a co-designer of an innovative foot and ankle plating system. He is also involved in multi-center surgical outcomes research.
Clinical areas of interest include all aspects of foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine. He takes a particular interest in the ankle, arthroscopic surgery and revisional foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Gentile is married with four children. He is a self-confessed “foodie,” and is passionate about literature, music, useless pop culture, yoga and hiking.
