What is skin & nail podiatry?
Your feet take a beating, and their skin and nails are the barriers that protect you from infection. When something is wrong — a stubborn ingrown toenail, a fungal infection, a wart, a thickening nail, or a skin lesion that looks off — expert evaluation matters. Our skin and nail service handles everything from quick in-office procedures to advanced laser therapy and careful evaluation of any concerning lesion, including those that may indicate skin cancer.
Common reasons to see skin & nail podiatry
How we diagnose
A first skin and nail visit focuses on accurate diagnosis — recurring "fungal" nails are often something else, and not every callus is benign. We examine the area in good light, perform an in-office procedure when warranted, and refer for biopsy or further imaging if any lesion looks suspicious. Most patients leave the same visit with a clear diagnosis and the problem addressed.
Treatments we offer
In-house skin and nail care eliminates the need for outside referrals — we handle the routine and the complex in our offices, and we are trained to recognize the rare but serious findings (skin cancer, melanoma) that some practices miss.
